Double Shot OSA PBT Side-Printed Full Keycap Set

I got the white side printed OSA keycaps. Easily my new favorite keycaps and the ones I'll be using moving forward. RGB lights shine through the side print extremely well. This is a premium quality product. Looks and performs with no issues. The only issues I have with this product are Keychron is the only company making these OSA keycaps and I wish there were more colorways. Other than that these keycaps are a dub.

I fell in love with the OSA profile after getting my keyboard that came with them. I really loved the feel of those keys too and when I switched keycaps to a different profile for an all black look, it was hard to adjust, so when I saw this was available again I jumped on it.

It looks fantastic and I'm really glad for OSA caps again but these caps just feel cheaper and not as nice to type on as the set that came with the keyboard.

I should start by saying I've never really liked shine thru caps but I do understand why someone would want them, which is why I bought both of these sets right away.
I think they're better than the standard grey shine thru caps you get on some boards. The white ones are pretty and the black ones really black out my Q10 like whoa. It's a good thing they come separated in the package because my old eyes were having the hardest time reading the black ones without any light coming through...I did not have that problem with the white ones. I don't think I really like the OSA profile; I am a cherry lover. The biggest drawback would be that these started showing shine on the highly used caps within a couple of days. Overall, I think I just might be too old to like these.
I like the understated RGB shining between my caps rather than coming through them, unless they're just straight up pc caps blasting light like ET's spaceship. But these are going to end up on my shelf for a while until I probably end up selling them because they are really not my favorite.

all black looks real nice on a black keyboard. no complaints solid product.

I ordered a set of white and a set of black for my Q1 Max and Q1HE. Both arrived today and they look and feel great. SOme people have complained about some of the past Keychron Doubleshot keycaps not being "true" doubleshot. I can say for sure that these are fully doubleshot with nice thick walls and a good solid feel when typing. The OSA profile is quickly becoming one of my favorites with good separation on the keys and a very comfortable height when using a wrist wrest (although a bit tall if you don't use one)

I appreciated them being well packaged by key row for easy sorting. And they fit nice and tight on Gateron Nebula, Baby Kangaroos, and Halo True switch stems. But they are not so tight that they take the switch with them when removing the keycap. Not sure why so many companies get this wrong but Keychron has the dimensions down right and I apprecate it as someone who likes to tinker with their boards a lot.

Sadly though there are two things worth noting that knock a star off overall.

1: The white set are not as really white like the stock key caps on my Q1HE. They are closer to the eggshell/cream color of the white Q1 Max boards. This isn't the end of the world but disappointing none the less. Shinethrough is good. Almost too good since there is a slight glow to them and I may end up darkening most of the inside of the keycaps except around the letters to help alleviate it a bit.

2: Sadly the Black keys have the opposite issue. Shine through just doesn't look as good. The letters are not crisp and give inconsistent lighting. Some almost look like they are cut off in places. It isn't bad from a low angle when looking at the side of the keys but when at a normal typing level it just doesn't look as crisp as something like a Drop DCL Shadow. In fact some keys like the S key or a lot of special characters such as the :; key barely show up at all. The period for the keypad is just black.

The white are a great set as long as you don't expect them to be pure white like the stock keycaps and the black are a good set but the problems with light transmission keeps them from being quite as good in my opinion.

As a final note it would have been nice if the black set were a 2 tone set like the white. With the white set you get grey F5-F8 as well as Backspace, enter, etc. It would have been nice to see something similar with the black set.

So the white are an easy 4.5 but the black are just 3 or 3.5 at best.
