Keychron Coiled Aviator Cable

Unbelievable that such dangerous cables are available for purchase. Parents, do not buy these for your kids unless prepared for computer damage.

I bought one of these cables and learned the hard way that USB connectors are mechanically designed and engineered to mate the electrical contacts in a safe sequence to allow hot-plugging. The "Aviator" connector is not. What likely happened is that 5V VBUS and USB data wires contacted first without ground, and the VBUS capacitance in keyboard jolted 5V via empty capacitor to USB data pins. Now I need a new PC with working USB interfaces and will never hot-plug the "Aviator" connector again.

Very nice texture cable. I bought both this one in purple and the blue regular one. both has the usb to usb-c adaptors.
quality wise, this premium one is better in quality. is it worth an extra 10, i don't think so.
overall, this one looks a lot better in pictures, and the regular coiled cable also from keychron looks a lot worse in the pictures.
this sets the expectation of this premium version a lot higher than the regular non premium version.
reality is the regular non premium one is a lot nicer than it looks in its pictures and this is one is not as nice as it looks in pictures.

Love the cable, gives lots of room to move around at my desk. But this needs a right angle option to use with the K4v1 and v2. I hjave a blue cable and bought a 90-degree adapter which only comes in black.
