Stay Secure with Keychron this Change Your Password Day
Every year on February 1, we are reminded of the importance of online safety with Change Your Password Day. It’s the perfect opportunity to refresh your passwords and enhance your digital security. And with Keychron, securing your accounts has never been more seamless or reliable.
Simplify Password Management with Macros
Do you dread the idea of typing out long, complicated passwords every time you log in? That’s where Keychron’s macro feature comes in. Macros are sequences of key presses that can be programmed to play back with a single keystroke. This means you can set your intricate password to a single key press—combining security with convenience.
For example, you can map "F1" to a macro that types your secure password automatically.
- Click "Keymap" on the left, go to the "Macro" column, and select a key to remap as a Macro box (e.g., remap "F1" as "M0").
- Click "Macro" on the left.
- Select the Macro box (M0, M1, M2...) you want to configure, then click "Start REC" to begin recording the macro.
For example, your password is "Password", follow these steps to set it up correctly:
-Hold "Shift" and press "P", then release "Shift", and press "a", "s", "s", "w", "o", "r", and "d" on your keyboard.(Note: When switching letter cases, make sure to include the case switch key in the macro to ensure correct input.)
- Click "Stop REC", then click "Submit" to save the macro. Below is the video turorial.
Now, every time you press "F1," it will automatically type "Password," giving you quick and secure access to your accounts without the hassle.

Why Open-Source Firmware Means Better Security
Keychron takes your security seriously by providing open-source firmware for our keyboards. Why does this matter?
When you type, you’re entering personal information—your passwords, home address, and even credit card details. With proprietary firmware, it’s hard to know where that data might be sent. However, open-source firmware is transparent, with millions of contributors reviewing the code to ensure that there are no hidden backdoors, maintaining high security standards and fostering complete user trust.
By embracing open-source firmware, we empower our community and prioritize the safety of your data.
Make the Switch to Keychron Today
This Change Your Password Day, upgrade your security toolkit with a Keychron keyboard. With programmable macros and the transparency of open-source firmware, we make safeguarding your personal data easier and smarter.
Let’s celebrate online safety together. Stay secure, stay in control, and make the change with Keychron.
